Thanksgiving Memory Games for the Kids' Table

Published 12 June 2026

The turkey needs another hour, the kids are circling the kitchen, and somebody’s about to suggest turning on the TV. Counter-proposal: hand the tablet to the kids’ table with a Thanksgiving memory game loaded. No download, no account, no setup — it just plays.

The Thanksgiving line-up

The family tournament format

This works every year:

  1. Qualifying round: everyone plays the easy Thanksgiving board once. Lowest moves seeds the bracket.
  2. Semi-finals: head-to-head on medium, taking turns on one screen.
  3. The final: hard mode, winner carves bragging rights for a full year.

Grandparents are statistically dangerous in this tournament. You’ve been warned.

While you wait for pie

The “what’s missing?” version makes a brilliant whole-table game — put it on the biggest screen, everyone studies the board, and the table shouts out which dish vanished. It’s basically the digital version of “who ate the last roll?”, but with fewer arguments.
