An Easter egg hunt lives and dies by the weather, and the outdoor version has a hard age ceiling — once the youngest can run fastest, the big kids lose interest. A matching game levels the field: everyone sits, everyone studies the same board, and the family champion is decided by recall rather than sprinting.
It is also the traditional rainy-Bank-Holiday-Friday insurance policy. Easter falls right at the spring half-way point, when the afternoons are still long and the weather is still unreliable, so a zero-setup browser game earns its keep at least once over the long weekend.
Teachers covering the first week back in spring tend to use the spring and garden decks on the classroom screen — seasonal without being chocolate-related, which some headteachers care about.
Choose your difficulty
Every easter game runs at three levels — easy, medium and hard — switched inside the game at any time. Start easy for little ones, or jump to hard if you fancy the challenge.
