Study tip: scan the left board in the same order every time — top-left to bottom-right — and check its twin against that order. The difference between sailboat and speedboat is easy to spot; a missing motorboat in the wrong corner is not, unless your scan is systematic.
How to memorise a vehicle board
Build a traffic story. Line the vehicles up as if in a jam and give each a reason to be there — the fire engine first because of the smoke, the bus behind it because everyone stopped to watch. A one-sentence chain that links every card in order survives the memory test far better than twelve separate glances.
Sort by where they operate: sky, road, track, water, sand. Vehicles are a naturally classifiable deck, and classification is half of recall — when the ambulance goes missing, "emergency vehicles, road" is a much smaller haystack than the whole board.
How to Play
- Press Start. Two boards appear, looking identical.
- Compare them tile by tile — one has been swapped for something different.
- Tap the changed tile, on either board, before the timer runs out.
- Each round adds more tiles and less time. Three misses ends the run.

They are the single easiest sell in the whole site for vehicle-mad children — the motivation is already there. Use the hard board to keep it challenging; enthusiasm usually outruns the extra pairs.
What strategy works for the big boards?
Sweep in rows like reading a page, and park each vehicle in its zone as you go. The discipline matters more on 12-pair boards than the mnemonic tricks.
